Font-Family : Find The Right Stack
Posted on February 2, 2010 and no shout so far
In developing our websites or webapps we need “font stack” to make sure our website design is displaying properly in every user’s browser. We use font-family property in our CSS file to define any fonts we’ll use in our “font stack”, the difficult thing we usually met is determine similar fonts with our primary font.
Font-Family help us solve that thing, we just need to choose our primary font and they will find its siblings, for example we choose Georgia as our primary font and Font-Family will inform us its similar fonts such as : Times, Times New Roman, serif, etc. For advanced usage we can enter some fonts list, compare them and see how they render in our browser. You can try how Font-Family working here.
