Spree is open source e-commerce platform based on Ruby on Rails platform, beautifully created by Sean Schofield. Spree features are best, including extensible design, custom shipping logic, SEO friendly, 100% REST!, etc. The backend is very clean, simple and user friendly, we won’t find any difficulty to use it.
If we want to take Spree to advanced apps we don’t need to worry since Spree has the online documentation (including Wiki and Quick Start Guide) and community support. Spree is licensed under New BSD License, now you can try the demo in here.

In laymen’s terms, MODx helps even regular individuals manage content on their websites simply, quickly and intuitively. For the geek-elite, MODx is an Open Source PHP web application framework with a capable built-in Content Management System (CMS).
The interesting feature fromĀ MODx which I noticed are AJAX support and SEO Optimization. They offer us an API that fully supports Web 2.0 Ajax technology. MODx is also help our SEO efforts with adjusting meta-content of our site on per-page basis.
